well-planned spaces and familiar activities, designed specifically for the
memory impaired, Parkland helps its residents to feel comfortable by providing
a sense of familiarity and promoting confidence. Common areas include a well
supervised hands-on participatory therapy kitchen, comfortable living spaces,
dining areas, spacious open courtyards, activity rooms that promote
participation in familiar daily activities and private family visiting areas.
Each personal bedroom suite offers comfortable living. Parkland offers private
as well as shared suites equipped with full private bathrooms that include
large walk in showers. Residents can bring their own furniture so they are
surrounded by their own favorite things; their room truly is “home”!
At
Parkland each of our neighborhoods has access to an outdoor garden completely
enclosed with a secure perimeter fence so residents can enjoy the
beautiful Arizona weather independently.
Our Life
Enrichment program is designed to provide the highest quality of life for each
of our residents; socially, psychologically, spiritually and physically. These
programs are developed around each person’s specific interest, abilities, past
history and routine. Life engagements flow through each day to promote
cognitive, sensory, creative and physical skill. With programs such as Music
and Memory, art and gardening, just to name a few, the Life Enrichment program
supports life skills, enhancing each resident’s ability for self-care.
Food is
one of life’s simple pleasures! At Parkland we offer a restaurant style
dining program with variety and choice. Our residents will enjoy three
delicious meals daily as well as snacks. Each of our individual
neighborhoods is equipped with a beautiful dining room with plenty of room for
family and friends to join us. We encourage family to enjoy meals with their
loved ones. For special occasions, we even offer a private family dining room!
We invite you to come enjoy our well balanced seasonal menus that include fresh
green salads, vegetables, homemade breads, desserts and more!
